Anatoly Vinogradov (1912-1975)

In June 1941, lieutenant Vinogradov was in charge of the gas service of the 455thinfantry regiment. He took command of the united defence group.

On June 26, he commanded a group that attempted to break out of the Fortress. He was taken a prisoner of war in the outskirts of Brest.

He was liberated in 1945. Photo was taken in 1938.

Ivan Zubachev (1898-1944)
Ivan Zubachev (1898-1944)

In June 1941, Captain Zubachev was an assistant commander in charge of munitions supplies of the 44th infantry regiment. He was another commander of the united group of defenders in the Citadel. He died in the German POW camp in Hammmelburg. Was awarded Order of the Great Patriotic War (posthumously). Photo was taken in 1941.

In June 1941, Lieutenant Naganov was a platoon commanding officer in the regimental school of the 333rd infantry regiment. He died in the tower of Terespol Gate. He was awarded Order of the Great Patriotic War (posthumously).

In June 1941, Kizhevatov was the commander of frontier outpost № 9. Died in the Fortress during the defence. In 1965, he was awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumously). Photo was taken in 1939.

His mother Anastsya Ivanovna, his wife Yekaterina Ivanovna, his children Nyura, Vanya and Galya.

All of them were shot in autumn 1942 on Rodovlyanskaya hill which is near the village of Leshnitsa, Maloryta district, Brest region. Photo was taken in 1941.

In June 1941, the commissar of the 84th infantry regiment. He was an assistant commander of the united group of defenders. He was shot by Nazis in late June 1941.

He was awarded Order of Lenin in 1957 (posthumously). Photo was taken in 1941.
